A small-batch rye whiskey from Wilderness Trail distillery that is made with a mash bill of 56% rye, 33% corn and 11% malted barley, matured in heavily-charred barrels and bottled in bond. The result is a nose full of lemon peel, satsuma, apple, peppery rye spice, vanilla caramel and floral honey aromas, complemented on the palate by notes of fragrant citrus, toasted rye bread, melted butter, charred oak, butterscotch, liquorice and crushed peppercorns that linger in the finish.
