From ungrafted vines up to 100 years old the Kaprielian family craft this dry sparkler from indigenous varieities. It is 40% Voskehat, 30% Khatuni, and 30% Banants. The vineyards are located in Vayots Dzor, and all grapes are hand harvested. The wine spends 22 months on the lees, giving a richer texture and brioche flavor.

Producer Information

For the Kaprielians, family history is a powerful motivator. Historically a winemaking family, our ancestors owned and operated 11 vineyards in Western Armenia before escaping the Armenian Genocide and resettling in the US. After finding success in America, we entered the wine industry once again in 2014, fulfilling a promise we made to ourselves over a century ago. We took a leap of faith and planted a stake in Artsakh on 30 hectares of land in Banadzor village near the south-eastern province of Hadrut. Takri, which fittingly means roots in Artsakh Armenian, represents our familys long-held dream of returning to our ancestral craft. Our wine is best enjoyed in good health among family and close friends!
