Secret Islay Distillery 12 Year Old 2012 (Private Label) Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: A bold opening with thick, briny, tarry peat smoke. Stewed red fruits nestle beneath, alongside hints of hibiscus and rooibos tea. In time, notes of burnt custard, popcorn, stone fruits, and vanilla develop.

Palate: Robust, with dense notes of coal smoke and pungent, herbaceous peat, smoked peppercorns and salted caramel. Dried cranberry, grilled apricot, and beneath, some buttery vanilla shortbread.

Finish: Creamy oak, burnt butter, vibrant smoke, charred herbs, sourdough with salted butter, chocolate, and a touch of medicinal peat.
