Savanna L’absolu 2024 | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Fruity, balsamic, molasses/licorice, minty and slightly waxy.

Palate: Beautiful harmony with the nose, we find the dominant liquorice.

Finish: Pleasant and characteristic of molasses rums with a notable influence of distillates from the Savalle column as well as that of Port.

Distillery Information

The Savanna distillery traces its roots back to the 17th century in Saint-Paul, in the west of Reunion Island. At the foot of the town’s mountains lies a pond, and an area called “Parc Jacques” or “Bout de l’tang”. It was later renamed Savanna. Food crops are grown here, mainly rice and sugar cane.
