Malteco 10 ans is a honey cane rum from Panama. Distilled in columns, it is a light rum that benefits from a complex ageing process using the Solera method. This practice, inherited from the wines of Xerez, consists of blending old and young rums throughout the ageing process. It is said that the older rums “educate” the younger ones. This rum won the bronze medal at the Paris Rum Fest in 2016.
