Producer Information
The La Montina winery was born in April 1987 at the behest of Vittorio, Gian Carlo and Alberto Bozza, three brothers who, from an early age and up to today, have drawn a passion for the land from the countryside and its traditions and for oenology. His father Fioravante Antonio (known as Fiore), with his hands dyed the typical color of wine makers, had always worked the vineyards and produced red wine. The mother Vittoria Gaia (called Gina) ran her own Osteria in the heart of Monticelli Brusati, the town of origin of the whole family. Today the values of the Bozza family are also kept by the grandchildren Michele and Daniele , who interpret them on new and technologically advanced concepts, respecting the territory and past generations. A new wisdom for the twenty-first century to keep faith with the commitment of a family tradition that is always renewed. La Montina Estates are located in Monticelli Brusati, in the province of Brescia, at the extreme north-eastern edge of Franciacorta. Its vineyards, extending over 49 hectares, produces 380,000 bottles a year following an integrated viticulture model. The location of La Montina is ideal for weddings, company meetings, dinners, parties, fashion shows and the best that the large spaces and halls can accommodate. Built in 1620 by Benedetto Montini, ancestor of Pope Paul VI, La Montina organizes guided tours, during which visitors can admire the unique Marmonier vertical wine press, and has rooms for personalized tasting events. It is also home to the Museum of Contemporary Art, with an exhibition of some 280 works.
