The I Greppi estate was acquired in by Irish Geologist, Dr. Neil McMahon, and family, in 2017 from founder Alessandro Landini who planted the first vineyards in 2001. The estate counts 14 hectares of Bolgheri Doc vineyards mostly located around the Greppi Cupi lakes which help with their waters the thermal excursion. Neil has injected his passion for science into I Greppis approach to viticulture and winemaking with a particular approach to research. This includes a long term partnership with University of California, UC Davis, one of the worlds most prestigious winemaking universities who have also been directly involved in the development of a state-of-the-art Eno Laboratory at the I Greppi HQ.
